While working within ArchiCAD, it is common sense that model and 2D information will be displayed in various combinations depending on the View’s purpose. To achieve this flexibility, ArchiCAD employs Layer Combinations, which can be easily assigned to different views to convey their respective purposes.
An issue regularly faced, is when you turn on a Layer that goes outside the current Combination settings – how do I keep this display combination for use on another part of the project?
Open the Layer Manager from Document > Layers > Layer Settings.
With the layers set on/off to suit, simply select/highlight the layer combination that the current view was likely derived from and press the Update button at the window’s base.
Alternatively, you can select the New button to create a new combo. You’ll note that the eyes adjacent the newly visible layer and the existing combo are open.
