When creating a 3D view, you can choose Wireframe or Shading mode. This setting applies to the whole model.
To display some elements as wireframe and others as shaded in the same view, use the Layer Settings. This can be useful if you want to focus on certain elements while keeping a handle on how they fit with the project.
Open the Layer Settings dialog. Click on the Shaded or Wireframe icon beside a listed layer to toggle between these two options.
It’s good to be aware of this option even if you don’t plan to use it. Sometimes a ‘slip of the mouse’ can result in a layer accidentally changing to wireframe mode. If this happens, it’s good to know how to fix the problem.
